Lehman Brothers has hired Jeb Bush, brother of the President of the United States, as an advisor to its private equity business, a source familiar with the situation said.
Lehman hired another relative of U.S. President George W. Bush last year–George Walker, a second cousin, who heads up the bank’s asset management business.
And just in case you think the McCain family is any different…

I’m not following. Jeb wasn’t hired to help with mortgage securities and did not get them a federal bail out. So how much does this explain?
All things touched by this generation of the Bush family has something in common: failure.
Well, if your insight is that subtle and carefully weighed, I guess I don’t need to follow up with the factoid that McCain’s son has only been involved with Silver State Bank since February 2008, that he got there because they bought a bank he was already on the board of (rather than being sought out), and that Silver State’s problems are not reported to be related to the acquisition.
Come on, there are enough actual issues to focus on. This stuff is just smoked baloney.
