With stock market so high how are pensions going broke? How much have company execs been paid and how much have ibanks made off these funds. This pension failure is a court sanctioned crime.
The stock market high? Huh? Here’s a graph for the last 5 years:
Sure doesn’t look like the place to make profits to me. 2003 was the only year where the market ended higher than it opened.
Its not like the Dow is at 7500, and United’s pensions lost billions in a crash. They mismanaged their pension (while the CEO made $777,000). Now they are screwing their workers out of their retirement and foisting the bill on me, the taxpayer. Corporate welfare anyone? They should definitely get rid of social ‘security’ too.
