I used the Comma delimited database: NH municipalities hand count vs use Diebold machines from BlackBoxVoting.org to see if there was a deviation between the results from precincts which used hand counts and those which relied on Diebold machines. The results were astonishing. :

A story is developing regarding domain name registrar Network Solutions front running domains. According to multiple sources on DomainState.com, it appears that domains searched via NSI are being purchased by the registrar thereby preventing a registrant from purchasing it at any other registrar other than NSI. As an example, a random domain which DNN searches such as HowDoesThisDomainTasteTaste.com can be seen in this whois search to now be unavailable to register at other registrars but at NSI it can be purchased
The response from Network Solutions:

Jonathon Nevett, Vice President of Policy at Network Solutions, has offered the following in response to the news break:
“I’d like to clarify what we are doing. In response to customer concerns about Domain Name Front Running (domains being registered by someone else just after they have conducted a domain name search), we have implemented a security measure to protect our customers. The measure will kick in when a customer searches for an available domain name at our website, but decides not to purchase the name immediately after conducting the search.
After the search ends, we will put the domain name on reserve. During this reservation period, the name is not active and we do not monetize the traffic on these domains. If a customer searches for the domain again during the next 4 days at networksolutions.com, the domain will be available to register. If the domain name is not purchased within 4 days, it will be released back to the registry and will be generally available for registration.
This protection measure provides our customers the opportunity to register domains they have previously searched without the fear that the name will be already taken through Front Running.
You are correct that we are trying to take an arrow out of the quiver of the tasters. As you know, domain tasters are the largest Front Runners. Due to no fault of registrars, Front Runners purchase search data from Internet Service Providers and/or registries and then taste those names. Some folks may not agree with our approach, but we are trying to prevent this malicious activity from impacting our customers.”
Which is, of course, a fucking lie:

Its a lie. if you check Ihaveabigprick.com and its available, 2 days later Joe Schmoe from Poughkeepsie can come along and register it, provided he does it at NetSol. It will show up as unavailable elsewhere, but available at NetSol.
So, this does nothing to protect you from having your domain registered out from under you provided the other person uses NetSol. The only one it protects is NetSol from having you decide to register it elsewhere with a registrar who doesn’t charge NetSol’s ripoff price. It’s a “feature” solely to benefit NetSol at the EXPENSE of everyone else. Slimy fuckers that they have always been.

I don’t mean to discourage people from being skeptical of the results produced by voting machines. There should be lots of healthy skepticism. That said, the kind of voting/counting that is used in the US generally differs from county to county. It’s very easy to believe that counties with different demographics vote differently, and that you’d see results like this. Without seeing further analysis, I’m not immediately worried.
By Votes
Method Hillary Clinton Barack Obama
Diebold Machines 82860 72807
Hand Count 18898 20912
I can’t fail to see that the machines counted 155 667 votes and by hand there was 39810 votes.
That means they did not count the same votes. So how is it relevant?
I can count 200 cars and get a majority of Toyota, and count 800 cars and get a majority of Volkswagen.
Does it mean that the counting of the 800 was “forged”?
As Maarten said above, demographics can differ between counties. one thing to bear in mind is that the hand counting is probably mostly in the poorest districts… it would be helpful to have data on income vs. preference.
Vote fraud is definitely a worrisome thing. i would rather see elections administered by citizen juries chosen by public random lottery. I’d like to see the chain of custody in a much more public light. well there are a lot of things i’d like to see. i wish that would me all that’s necessary to make it happen.
Dave’s comment on poorer regions being more likely to hand-count makes sense, but the exit polls posted here: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/index.html#NHDEM indicate the poorer someone is, the more likely they were to vote for Clinton – The exact opposite trend needed to explain this result.
In New Hampshire voting is done by town and city, not by country. The cities and the larger towns use the machines, while the smaller towns still count by hand. (Why pay for expensive machines if you can find volunteers to count a smalll number of ballots by hand) Hillary’s strength was generally in the cities and larger towns.
