Here’s how I feel…

A student has been threatened with a 3-day suspension from school for bringing to campus, and using, a pen with the corporate logo of the Glock company, a large stylized “G” with the letters “lock” inside.
Cooler heads eventually prevailed, and the father reports that he was successful in convincing the school officials to not only withdraw the threat, but also the formal reprimand that already had been placed in his son’s educational file.
However, WND previously has reported on a student who was punished for advocating for gun rights, as well as yet another student who was punished for a sketch of a gun. And the newest incident raised concerns among bloggers and participants in web forums.
“Didn’t (sic) Ford and GM build guns during WWII… Those products should not be around children, for there (sic) own safety. All teachers with a ford or GM car should have their illegal property crushed today…,” wrote “jhud” on one forum. “Also the word springfield, and the numbers .22, .223, .32, .38, .40, .45, 5.56, 7.62, .50, .44 45-70, .450 etc and any math problem with the numbers involved. Also, we need to remove 9 and 10 mm from the rulers.”

The Bush administration has failed to nominate any candidates to a newly empowered privacy and civil-liberties commission. This leaves the board without any members, even as Congress prepares to give the Bush administration extraordinary powers to wiretap without warrants inside the United States.
The failure rankles Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Connecticut) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), respectively chairman and ranking minority member of the Senate’s Homeland Security Committee.
“I urge the president to move swiftly to nominate members to the new board to preserve the public’s faith in our promise to protect their privacy and civil liberties as we work to protect the country against terrorism,” Lieberman said.
What public faith?

Saudi Arabia’s religious police stopped schoolgirls from leaving a blazing building because they were not wearing correct Islamic dress, according to Saudi newspapers.
In a rare criticism of the kingdom’s powerful “mutaween” police, the Saudi media has accused them of hindering attempts to save 15 girls who died in the fire on Monday.

‘The body of American teenager Natalee Holloway will never be found,’ Dutch student Joran van der Sloot was seen saying on a tv programme on Sunday night.
The 18-year-old vanished on the holiday island of Aruba in May 2005. Describing himself as ‘lucky’, Van der Sloot described how he phoned a friend to help dispose of her body. ‘The ocean is big’, he said.
The show set a new record for “number of viewers” in the Netherlands. 7 million watched it (out of a population of a bit over 16 million).
You international readers who haven’t seen this, go watch it on ABC.
And while you do, and while you’re stunned about what you see, think about these things afterwards:
1. why did Joran dump his shoes. There’s only one explanation I can think of, and that’s trace. And traces of sperm and such is not enough reason, traces of blood are.
2. somebody must have told him to immediately dump them, he wouldn’t have thought of it himself. Also, walking home is just a little too much distance, especially bare-footed.
3. the guy he mentioned as the boat owner has issued a press release stating he wasn’t even on Aruba in the time frame. And look how long it took Joran to come up with the name – he’s lying, it took too long to make up a connection.
4. dad dropped a career as judge in training and is a lawyer again. And lying about the phone.
And then tell me my theory is wrong: it happened exactly as Joran told, except it’s his dad that helped him, and something happened to Natalee that involved blood.
But, as his mother said, his days in hell are now beginning.

The sheer stupidity of people amazes me. I mean, how is MS evil? And then Google and Apple and Yahoo! good? Companies. Money. Business.
It is not about good or evil. They have to make money for the shareholders – and yes, there are abided by laws to do it.
I guess all these people who cry “evil MS” happily give up their salaries for the public good all the time.
That is exactly why the photo is extremely funny. I have the same feeling towards people shouting for their favourite sports team..
Shouting for, I don’t mind. Shouting against is what seems stupid.
I love the “I love Linux” “Mac Lover” “Windows Faithful” etc. stuff
What I don’t like is the “MS coders are borgs” “Apple users are morons” and so on.
Like when a football player changes teams and then those who hated him will love him, and those who praised his talent want to kill the “untalented, sod”.
The line between “shouting for” and “shouting against” is a very fine one…
Well I think the difference between “go team, go!” and “kill the s**theads” is not too subtle
