Any comment I could write would not do justice to Mrs. Gies and the countless others who did the same. I can only hope that we will never witness such dark times again and that when we will, I will be able to do the same.
Bless her and all like her. Even today, my niece, a professional Latina actress, is staging “The Diary of Anne Frank” in Mexico City. It has been a very successful production there. May the world never forget!
No, she was a hero. Perhaps she felt throughout her life that she failed in protecting them. What a burden to carry for so many years. May she rest in peace.
