The day after the Arizona legislature approved the bill, the police headquarters was flooded with phone calls. A typical complaint, according to Villaseñor, was this: “Hey, there are some Mexicans standing on the corner? You need to check them out.”

  1. Isn’t it against the law to file false complaints? How many justified calls were delayed? Seems to go beyond justified “protests”.

  2. itspast, He is suggesting that the complaints came from actual people who wanted the police to go out and check documentation on “Mexicans” standing of the street corner. AKA: racist bastards, not protesters.
