In order to become a US citizen, immigrants must pass the Naturalization Test. American citizenship bestows the right to vote, improves the likelihood of family members living in other countries to come and live in the US, gives eligibility for federal jobs, and can be a way to demonstrate loyalty to the US. Applicants must get 6 answers out of 10 in an oral exam to pass the test. According to US Citizenship and Immigration services, 92 percent of applicants pass this test.
Generating 920 ad views is a pretty good introduction to being a U.S. Citizen.

76 while doing some other stuff. Some of the questions were quite tricky. (IMHO)
Note the actual test is not multiple choice. You can also see all the questions here without 192 page loads.
It’d be fun to make up faux answers to the questions. Like…
Q: what is the rule of law?
A: it’s that you have to follow the law or pay the consequences, while NYPD officers can dismiss charges against their friends.
Q: who is commander in chief of the military?
A: the president, except under Bush, when Cheney called the shots.
Q: what is freedom of religion?
A: it’s having a President who does not seek guidance for his actions from his wife’s astrologer or from his prayers to God.
…and so on.
I did this two years ago. Really easy, but then again, I’m a US politics geek and had been in the country nearly 16 years at the time, so my passing wasn’t in doubt. They ask you to write three sentence, too, and in the study materials they tell you all the words they might end up using. The interviewer only asked me for one sentence — I’m guessing that talking to me might have given her the notion that I am familiar with English. ;p
