In today’s news about more men who want to control women’s bodies, Georgia’s state representative, Terry England, wants to force us to carry stillborn fetuses to term–just like cows and pigs do, he says. Because, you know, women are just like barnyard animals.
I say castrate the rep – if you grow up around a farm that is just the common thing to do to the males you don’t want breeding.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert has vetoed House Bill 363, Health Education Amendments. The bill would have imposed an abstinence-only curriculum for Utah high schools that provide sex education. It would have also allowed them to choose not to provide sex education at all.

During his campaign, Gardner promised average voters would inspire his actions. One ad said, “I will always put Colorado families before the Washington special interests.”

Actor George Clooney was detained Friday morning during a protest in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.
On Wednesday, Clooney testified before Congress about “a campaign of murder” under way in Sudan, where villagers run for the hills to hide from bombings on a daily basis.
“What you see is a constant drip of fear,” Clooney said, a day after returning from a trip in which he and a small team of fellow activists managed to enter one of the most devastated areas, the Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan.
“We found children filled with shrapnel, including a 9-year-old boy who had both of his hands blown off,” Clooney told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
And at the same time, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt were inside the Sudanese Embassy stealing a huge diamond.

Pennsylvania, where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were signed and where the U.S. coal, oil and nuclear industries began, has adopted what may be the most anti-democratic, anti-environmental law in the country, giving gas companies the right to drill anywhere, overturn local zoning laws, seize private property and muzzle physicians from disclosing specific health impacts from drilling fluids on patients.
I guess it’s smart to remember that what a corporation will do to a Nigerian is what they’ll do to you as soon as they can get away with it, so better stand up for the Nigerians now.
I don’t think anything inside the body should be removed (kidney, gall bladder, tonsils,etc.). Instead, we should let the body do it naturally! Makes sense to me.
Is it me, or is there a larger than usual wave of wingnut legislation coming out lately?
Yep. The Tea Party was just the beginning. Now, no-one’s extreme enough.
This all happened during the French and Russian Revolutions. Eventually this will settle down and your new totalitarian overlords will tell you what to think.
