A PRIEST has denied knowing how gay porn images appeared on a screen during a presentation he was giving to parents of children preparing for First Communion.
Fr Martin McVeigh was setting up the PowerPoint display when the explicit sex scenes flashed up on the screen.
He was about to give a talk to the parents of First Communicants but abandoned the presentation after the pornographic images appeared.
One of those present said the pictures appeared on the screen after the priest put a USB memory stick into the computer at St Mary’s School in Pomeroy, Co Tyrone.

The priest himself insists the pornographic images can be “legitimately explained”.
Of course they can – you had “auto-play” turned on when you inserted the USB drive.

Law enforcement tracking of cellphones, once the province mainly of federal agents, has become a powerful and widely used surveillance tool for local police officials, with hundreds of departments, large and small, often using it aggressively with little or no court oversight, documents show.
The practice has become big business for cellphone companies, too, with a handful of carriers marketing a catalog of “surveillance fees” to police departments to determine a suspect’s location, trace phone calls and texts or provide other services. Some departments log dozens of traces a month for both emergencies and routine investigations.

Bill Isles, 48, bought three tickets in the record $656 million lottery Thursday at a Wichita, Kan., grocery store.
On the way to his car, Isles said he commented to a friend: “I’ve got a better chance of getting struck by lightning” than winning the lottery.

Goldman Sachs was mortified when I began inquiring last week about its stake in America’s leading Web site for prostitution ads. It began working frantically to unload its shares, and on Friday afternoon it called to say that it had just signed an agreement to sell its stake to management.

Apple has launched a new patent assault on its competitors, one that appears to unleash the nukes that Steve Jobs reportedly told his biographer Walter Isaacson he was going to drop on Google’s Android.
“I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product,” the late Apple cofounder told the author of the überpopular authorized biography Steve Jobs in a 2010 interview. “I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”
[..]
The patent being asserted by Sewell and his crew is USPTO Patent #1,042,012, first granted to the American Mathematical Society in October 1912, subsequently renewed, then acquired by Apple at an unknown date.
The first entry among the patent’s Claims describes “A quadrilateral having all four interior angles of 90°, opposite sides that are parallel, and congruent diagonals that bisect each other.”

Funny place, Ireland. It was said that all women wanted at least one son to be a “priest”.
Hey, if he was bright and hetero, would he be a priest.
An explanation and apology are required!
No explanation needed, nor an apology, just a slight change of priesthood rules.
Slight change? I would say a major overhaul!
If an apology is needed, it’s from the Catholic church which has deceived people for centuries. I don’t have the time to list their sins here and now, but I’m sure they’re available on the internet if you’re inclined to open your mind to other possiblities.
Spokesmen of the diocese are reported to be ‘tight lipped’ while all over the internet the story is being treated with horror, scorn and hilarity. Time for big changes. I don’t read of any apology yet either!
