He’s nuts! and obviously knows that trail REALLY well! It reminds me of some trails in the Rocky Mountains I have hiked on, except they were above timberline (about 12-13000 ft. altitude).

Modern bikes + momentum + technique goes a very very long way. As a mountain biker (but not a downhiller), I’m not sure I’d ride that at that speed (hard to tell how gnarly the rock gardens are), but it didn’t seem particularly nuts.
