According to one document, Samsung even had a number of reports from Best Buy stating that customers were returning Samsung’s Galaxy tablets because when they bought them, they thought they were getting iPads.

The South Korea-based consumer electronics giant is currently doing its best to prevent these damning documents from being used in the trial, for obvious reasons. If they are permitted as evidence, however, it could certainly spell trouble for Samsung.

  1. That they use the same Sony design that Apple used for the iPhone? :) )
Sorry, but this whole thing is ridiculous, and a clear case on how companies are patenting “inventions” like the air, the wheel and the shape sphere and rectangle.

I really, really hope that Apple loses because they deserve it.

  2. I really, really hope they ALL lose. Including all patent trolls, or, as they are usually called “non-exercising entities”. At least Apple builds actual products based on the things they come up with, but the way intellectual property is handled right now is fundamentally broken.

Apart from that, it’s kind-of sad how Best Buy sales staff was apparently able to fool people into thinking they bought an iPad.
