Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo has spoken out in favor of a Maryland ballot initiative that would legalize gay marriage. Yahoo has published a letter that Maryland state delegate Emmett C. Burns Jr. wrote last week to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, urging him to “inhibit such expressions from your employee.” This is Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe’s response to Burns.

Warning: strong language inside.

  1. It’s nice to see football players actually speaking about something intelligently. It’s especially nice that one is from my hometown team (go ravens!)

  2. Awesome! I think he kicked that one right up where the sun don’t shine! :-)
I am a straight heterosexual – married to the same woman for 38 years, yet when Barney Frank was finally able to marry his significant other, I could only applaud and say loudly “Good for you Barney!”. FWIW, Barney Frank was a Congressperson from Massachusetts for many, many terms, and ably represented ALL of the people in his district. On the other hand, Emmett C. Burns Jr. obviously is not suited for his position of influence and authority.

  3. “fromunda.” New word for me.
