“Millions of American evangelicals are absolutely shocked by not just the presidential election, but by the entire avalanche of results that came in,” R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Ky., said in an interview. “It’s not that our message — we think abortion is wrong, we think same-sex marriage is wrong — didn’t get out. It did get out.

“It’s that the entire moral landscape has changed,” he said. “An increasingly secularized America understands our positions, and has rejected them.”

Conservative Christian leaders said that they would intensify their efforts to make their case, but were just beginning to discuss how to proceed. “We’re not going away, we just need to recalibrate,” said Bob Vander Plaats, president and chief executive of The Family Leader, an evangelical organization in Iowa.

  1. They don’t need to recalibrate. They need to get their heads and souls out of the 15th Century! They need to stop acting like a bunch of misogynistic, sexist, racist, intolerant thugs and embrace the true teachings of their lord Jesus. Jesus could embrace a prostitute and show her a better (if not easier) future. These pinheads cannot embrace the concept that 2 men or 2 women may truly love each other, and use that to help build a better future for all of us. They refuse to accept that a man of color is suitable to be President of the United States. They hold that rape is the fault of the raped, not of the rapist, and that women are meant to be subservient to men.

So, why was Mitt Romney totally unsuited to be POTUS? Simply because he follows a “faith” that accepts that women are subservient to men, that same-sex relations are inherently evil, and that those who do not follow/accept his faith are inferior. He may be the nicest person on earth, but because he holds firm to these beliefs, he had to be rejected totally for the position of leader of ALL Americans. The American people consist of persons who adhere to all faiths, religions, races, sexual orientation, and beliefs. The person that leads us must be tolerant of all, and totally faithful to the Constitution to which they have sworn. Unfortunately, Obama has fallen somewhat short in that last point, but compared to Romney, he is the far better choice, in my humble opinion.
