  1. Rather than appealing to people’s sympathy to get donations on TV, why don’t we just make fickeled owners responsible for the lifetime of the pet.

  2. There’s no “either this or that” in here – one can do both.

  3. I must truly be a member of the Net-Generation. The emotional payload of the quote totally failed to inspire any empathy in me. Instead, I was totally amazed at how much the dog really does look like Clint Eastwood.
