Asked if they expected a share of the more than $1-million reward offered in the case, the couple said they didn’t expect to receive anything.
“We heard nobody was getting that because he needed to be captured and convicted,” Karen Reynolds said.
So the $1m offer of a bounty was not made in good faith, since they never intended capture.
Also, this is an extra incentive for the cops to kill a suspect. And nobody is going to call the cops next time – why bother if the rewards are fake anyway?
