The marshmallow effect might, of course, have been caused by those such as Ms Greer, particularly when she was editor of the subtly-named Suck magazine. For my sins, I remember her wearing her knees as earrings. As someone said, as erotic as open-heart surgery.
Yeah, I know a lot of grumpy middle-aged rats…not that I’m volunteering or anything. (It’s that marshmallow in a coin slot problem.)
That’s brilliant, Sue. But coin slot? That plays into the hands (as it were) of every reactionary cliché about women ever.
