CNN grieves that guilty verdict ruined ‘promising’ lives of Steubenville rapists

On the other hand, the widespread message that bad behaviour will get you a bad outcome is the basic purpose of “justice”. I am not minimizing the suffering and humiliation of the young person (she will hopefully deal with it as well as, or better than, the rest of us). I don’t see that news media can really help her at all.
